The main way to search for accommodation of your choice, anywhere, is to simply click on the SEARCH FOR ACCOMMODATION button at the top middle of the second page of the Austourism site (or on the icon at the top of the side listed blue buttons). This will immediately show you a page listed ROOM SEARCH with a drop down list of the various States and Territories where you may wish to stay. By typing in the city, town or area where you wish to stay at the top of the page and scrolling on the arrows underneath to indicate the State where the city, town or area is located, you will then be able to select your arrival and departure dates, type in the number of bedrooms required and the approximate rate you wish to pay. (From the price you select, you will be shown available properties with prices ranging from 25% above your requested price and 50% below) After clicking on the SEARCH button at the bottom of the page, and waiting a few seconds (whilst the Austourism searches for all the available properties that would suit your request) an accommodation availability list will appear. (PLEASE NOTE: Once you have completed and entered your search details and pressed the SEARCH button at the bottom of the ROOM SEARCH page, the collating of the list of available properties may take up to 30 seconds depending on the number of properties available. During this search time, Austourism's powerful internet computers are finding a full range of properties in your desired area, calculating the discounted prices for you, as well as downloading the associated web pages for you to view the resort and room features if you so desire. As soon as you see the heading "List of Suitable Rooms", you will know there will be accommodation houses available for you to immediately book). TO VIEW PHOTOS OF ACCOMMODATION HOUSES To view the web page of any available property, simply click on your chosen property listed with a line underneath it. This will not only give you photographs of the accommodation house you have selected, but will give full details of the various features of your chosen property. If one property is not suitable, simple click on the normal BACK button and arrow at the top left of your computer screen and this will take you back for another selection. Once you have seen a property you wish to book (by now all the discount prices have been automatically calculated for you), all you have to do is click on the BOOK NOW button indicated at the right of your available property list, or at the bottom of the Features/Web Page. PLEASE ONLY CLICK THE "BOOK NOW" BUTTON ONCE. After you have completed and checked your reservation details on the BOOKING FORM (including name, telephone number and credit card details), clicked the MAKE A BOOKING button (Again Only Once Please), all that is now required is to confirm the reservation is to click on the CONFIRMATION button. This will immediately show a CONFIRMATION VOUCHER with all the details of your reservation. To print a copy of the CONFIRMATION VOUCHER simply press the print icon at the top of your page in the normal way. If all properties on the Austourism Network for your particular request are booked, or Austourism Representatives have not yet keyed in properties of your choice in a particular area yet, after you select the SEARCH button on the ROOM SEARCH page you will view a page headed ROOM AVAILABILITY. By simply filling in the spaces requested and pressing the Email button, Austourism staff will immediately find you alternative accommodation in the area requested and contact you with other available properties by return email, fax or telephone. Similarly, there may be towns or suburbs where you wish to stay that are not already listed in the Austourism index - if this is the case, please email your request, and an Austourism Representative will advise you available accommodation houses by return reply.
